Squash Team: Hot Pants and Giggles

By Guest Contributors • Oct 16th, 2008 • Category: Sport

Compared to other clubs, the squash team is a fairly fresh club in the University’s sporting scene. The Club itself is about to enter its third competitive year with its stature improving continuously. The previous Club Captain did a great job of the getting the club established.

Last season saw the club finish a very respectable 4th in the league, which we hope to improve on this year with a little help from some new recruits. Other highlights from last year include, the team going on tour to Dublin where not only did we have a great crack going out at night but were successful on court aswell with John Newton winning the singles title.

Socially we all had a great laugh last year with some memorable away trips to Cardiff, Swansea and Glamorgan to name a few.

The Club has also taken pride in it’s dress up’s having left my house for a night out in hotpants, tights and body paint on too many occasions.

This club is all about not taking things too seriously and having a good giggle. We’ve made some great memories and stories in the past three years so why don’t you come and give us a hand making some new ones!!
