Hello Sir!

Firstly I’d like to say its great to see everybody back and of course welcome the latest influx of bright eyed and eager freshers into the fold. I look forward to seeing you all slouch past my office into the bar for teas and coffees, suitably destroyed after another fantastic freshers festival. As some of you will know I’ve just taken over the role of Tone station manager from Rich Wiltshire and hope to successfully fill his admittedly leviathan shoes. Those of you familiar with Tone Radio will know were are all about giving students, all students, the opportunity to make original, individual and entertaining radio. To put it simply Tone is YOUR station and we welcome any student who wants to contribute. Think your the next Jo Wiley or (spare us) Chris Moyles? Want to create a show that just doesn’t exist on commercial radio? Or maybe you have a completely new idea you think you could showcase on Tone? then get in touch and make yourself heard across the campuses.

At Tone Radio there are no criteria for creating a show. Play the music you want, report the news that interests you and be yourself. And if presenting alive show is not for you then there are other ways to contribute to Tone:

Producers Day-Time

Music Co-ordinator

Studio Technician

Audio Editor

Journalist

Tone is, if you’ll forgive my repetition, YOUR radio station. So make sure its the station you want it to be by getting involved. Looks good on your CV too, they totally eat this stuff up.
